Welcome Back! A Year of Hope and Jubilee

The beginning of a new school year is a mix of excitement, nerves, and fresh opportunities. This year is special as we embrace the Year of Jubilee and the theme Pilgrims of Hope.

What is the Year of Jubilee?

The Jubilee Year, from the Bible, is a time for renewal and celebration. It calls us to reset, seek justice, and care for others. Being a “Pilgrim of Hope” means trusting God’s love and choosing kindness, courage, and compassion.

Living Hope at School

How can you make this theme part of your year?

  • Reflect on New Beginnings: Take this fresh start to think about one thing you’d like to improve. “I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare ant not for harm” (Jer. 29: 11)

  • Take Action: Small acts create big change. Help someone in need, recycle more, or brighten someone’s day.
Action: Write one thing you’ll do this week to being hope to someone.

  • Journey Together: Support and pray for one another. We’re stronger when we journey as a community.
Prayer: God living among us, guide us this year as we journey with courage, love, and hope. Amen.

Embrace the Jubilee Spirit

Celebrate the good, care for each other, and choose hope. Together, we can make this a year full of joy, hope, and growth.

Wishing you a hopeful start to the year!
